Since 1982, the ATOM Awards have been celebrating the best of Australian and New Zealand screen content from the education sector and screen industry professionals.They are the second-longest-running film and media awards in Australia, behind the AFI/AACTA Awards.

ATOM Vic. is the Victorian chapter of the national, independent, not-for-profit, association that has been promoting the study of
media and screen literacy for over 50 years. Our goal is to empower students, teachers,
educators, parents, and the community at large to analyse and better understand the
Australian screen products we consume, whether in classrooms, at home or in cinemas.

Founded in 1964, Metro is Australia’s oldest film and media periodical. The magazine embraces the tradition of the essay, immersing the reader in well-informed, analytical and thought-provoking discussion.
